12/05/2007 Expedition begins to descent from the Greenland Ice Cap![]() 11 of May Fedor reported that they are 250 km from Ilulissat and going downhill from the Ice Cap. The decrease in altitude is about 250 meters per day. It is still below – 20 оC on the Ice Cap and windy. Their ETA to west coast – 17 th of May 2007
10/05/2007 Half way across the Ice Cap!![]() Message from Fedor Konyukhov: “According to our GPS position we are in the middle of the Greenland Ice Cap which is more or less half way of our journey. Hans and I are quite happy with the progress of our dog teams. We are averaging 55 km per day. I am getting very well with my 9 dogs; they are very smart, strong and have plenty of stamina. On April 17th, 2007 Fedor Konyukhov together with Oscar Konyukhov (the project manager) and Vladimir Zaycev (a film director of “MUH” TV) arrived to the east coast of Greenland.
